Brock Hoyer: Mr. Consistency
This young man is taking the world of motocross racing by storm
Brock Hoyer was born and raised in Williams Lake, B.C., and has spent many hours perfecting his riding skills at the local track and in the surrounding hills. The first time Hoyer really caught my attention was at the 2004 Provincial Championships in Kamloops. He finished 2nd in the 125cc intermediate class but in the open class he gave the other young guns—Brady Sheren, Kyle Beaton and Colton Facciotti—all they could handle. Hoyer went pro the following year and has inched his way up the ladder with consistent results and a knack for staying injury free.

After a couple great years of racing pro and turning in top 10 finishes in the Western rounds of the 2005 and 2006 CMRC’s national series, Hoyer is definitely Mr. Consistency, and 2008 will be a defining year for him aboard his Kawasaki KZ250F. In his prime at 21 years of age, Hoyer has set out to prove he can handle the pace and pressures of the new expanded MX2 class. The MX2 class format has changed for 2008, moving from a split four round east/west championships to a full nine round overall MX 2 Canadian Title.
This format suits the smooth, relaxed and consistent riding style of Hoyer and as the CMRC Canadian race series continues through the east, Hoyer is getting stronger with every race, putting up great numbers with top 10 finishes. Now, after eight grueling rounds, he sits in 11th position overall with the final race: The TransCan, in Walton, Ontario on August 17th.
Hoyer has always been a great ambassador to his home town of Williams Lake and it is nice to see such a fine young man doing so well on the national racing scene.

Give your seat new life with SaddleSkins™
Snowmobiles have special cover requirements. Extra cold weather can cause ordinary vinyl to split and crack. Travelcade SaddleSkins™ for sleds are made of a heavy-duty cold weather material that is impervious to cold down to more than minus 40 degrees. All features of the original seat are retained—rear compartment, lights, side buffers all duplicated in our replacement covers.
SaddleSkins are available for motorcycles, ATVs and snowmobiles with original manufacturer’s fit and design. Their weather-resistant vinyl endures all sorts of riding conditions, and replaces duct tape and unsightly tears at an economical price.
