Harmon Valley Quad Rally
An opportunity to enjoy great riding and win a prize
Members of the agricultural society in Harmon Valley, a small farming town outside of Peace River, are getting ready to welcome ATV riders from B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba to their annual quad rally on May 10.
Last year, this rally attracted more than 800 riders and with the event only weeks away, organizers anticipate another record-breaking attendance.
“We’re planning for 1,000 riders,” said rally organizer Darcy Underwood.
The rally will feature a 60-kilometre ride, which starts at 8 a.m. at the Harmon Valley Agricultural Society Hall. There will be checkpoints along the way where each rider draws a number and at the end, there will be a final draw to determine the winner of either a Honda, Can-Am, Yamaha or Suzuki ATV. Other door prizes include a barbecue, money, a chainsaw and/or a chartered tour on the Peace River.
Organizers also have something for the young ones in the family.
“For the kids, we bought a mini quad and right before we give away the prizes, we’re going to call all the kids up and have them pick a chip out of a bucket and whoever has the highest chip wins the quad,” said Underwood.
