Alberta Provincial H.O.G. Rally
Harley-Davidson of Edmonton is going all out this year for the 2010 Alberta Provincial H.O.G. Rally. From August 19 to 21, Harley enthusiasts are invited to celebrate their favourite brand of bike and the outstanding Edmonton community. Some activities will be taking place at the dealership, while others will be held at the Mayfield Inn and Trade Centre.
“Thursday will be predominantly registrations,” said Kevin Jennings, treasurer of the rally committee, “and we’ll have a drive-in event taking place at the dealership.”
“We’re calling it a ride-in movie,” said Koreen Kent-Bruneau, dealer principal for Harley-Davidson of Edmonton. “We have an outdoor theatre set up outside our dealership . . . like an old drive-in movie theatre—except they’ll be on their motorcycles. We’re going to serve hotdogs, popcorn and fountain pop.”
Friday will bring some planned motorcycle tours of the scenic River Valley, where riders can take some time to appreciate the local environment. They can also enjoy a festive evening, with live music performed by Darrell Barr.
“Friday night there will be a meet and greet at the Mayfield Inn,” said Jennings, “(and) a wall of ink—which is a tattoo contest. People just take pictures and we put them on the wall.”
Saturday is the main event day, and will feature a range of activities in the daytime, including a parade, bike games and a show and shine.
“We’ll be holding the bike rodeo, which consists of biker games on and off the motorcycle, and a poker run,” said Kent-Bruneau. “(The) parade will start at the Mayfield . . . (and go) right through the scenic river valley—(ending) at the hotel. That should take approximately an hour to an hour and a half. ”
Saturday evening, stay for the dinner, awards and entertainment MC’d by prominent Edmonton DJ Terry Evans. Comedian Andrew Grose will also be taking the stage that night.
“We’re going to put on a pretty good party . . . Edmonton style,” said Kent-Bruneau. “ ‘Ridin’ in oil country’ is the slogan we chose.”
4th Prairie Regional H.O.G. Rally

Alberta Regional Harescramble Event
This race is the Alberta Dirt Rider Association (ADRA) series Round 08 of 10. All regular disciplines (kids and adults) and ability levels will be run according to ADRA standard format.
