    Poker Run and Camp Out

    The Kootenay Rockies ATV Club will be hosting this fun event in the Lumberton Valley, based out of the Noke Creek Campground. The Camp Out will start Friday night (July 5th) and the Poker Run will be on the Saturday (July 6th) and then there will be guided tours for anyone interested on the Sunday (July 7th). The whole event will be west of Cranbrook in the Lumberton Valley snowmobile/ATV riding area.     Wicked Motor Sports Mud Bog weekend

    Bikes & Bulls Charity Event

    The Airdrie Oilmen’s Association is pleased to host their third annual Bikes & Bulls Charity Event at the Airdrie Rodeo Grounds on August 23rd and 24th, 2013. The event is a fundraiser featuring bands and a DJ both Friday and Saturday night. Aerosmith Tribute band, Aerosmith Rocks, will play on Friday, and Bon Jovi tribute band, Blaze of Glory, will headline on Saturday. There will be a poker run at 3 p.m. on Friday, registration at 2 p.m. Saturday will also showcase a show and shine, bikini bike wash, bike rodeo, plus beer gardens and free camping (self-contained) at the rodeo grounds situated 10 kilometres west of Airdrie on Hwy# 567. In 2013, this charity event will support Airdrie Community Links, Airdrie Food Bank and Airdrie & District Victims Assistance Society (ADVAS). Tickets $20 with a non-perishable food item. The Campbell River Motocross Association in Campbell River, B.C., held a Wednesday Evening Racing Series at the club’s local track during the month of July 2012 for all who wished to try out motocross racing for the first time—or for those who have been doing it and just wanted to keep fresh and get a little practice in.

This is my second time running a motocross team. The first time was when I worked at Duncan Motorsports in Duncan, B.C., and I ran that team for five or six years.
