Already recognized worldwide as a snowmobiler’s kingdom, Revelstoke is also a mecca for ATVers who want to discover a region full of diverse terrain, breathtaking scenery and phenomenal outdoor adventures.
There are hundreds of kilometres of trails to explore near the city of Revelstoke that will lead ATVers to remote alpine lakes, majestic mountain meadows and beautiful valley bottoms. Nestled against the Selkirk and Monashee mountain ranges, Revelstoke offers incredible scenery and viewpoints to ATVers, who can often find snow—and mud—well into July.
The local ATV club, the Revelstoke ATV Club, is an active organization that hosts a number of exciting events and rides throughout the year.
“One of the top places ATVers from our club ride is south to the Mount Hall area,” said Ron LaRoy, president of the Revelstoke ATV Club. “This area offers hundreds of kilometres of logging roads and old mining roads and will take you onto the tops of mountains where old mining roads still exist.
“Then there is the Akolkolex Valley. This road leads in two different directions—one up the Akolkolex Valley close to the Albert Icefields, and the other south to Arrowhead and Sproat mountains. Both trips are certainly worth the ride.”
